Review: 18 Again (2020)

18 Again is about a couple going through a marital rough patch. They filed for divorce but before their final hearing, the husband transformed into his 17-year-old physical body. He had to go through school again and there, he experienced being friends with his 2 kids. In his young body, he expressed how much he loves and values his family. He was there for them as a husband and as a father whenever they needed him, they just weren't aware.

I didn't think 2 characters with about 20 years of age gap would be excellently portrayed on-screen but 18 Again's lead actors were so good. I didn't find their scenes together awkward at all. The show also had great supporting characters that made it fun and entertaining. 

Aside from family matters, the show also tackled school bullying, how society judges women because of their age or personal circumstances, and politics in the workplace.

There were a few scenes that for me, weren't executed well enough but those didn't really affect so much the quality and value of the entire show. 

Those already biased against a May-December romance might not like the show despite the given premise. If you like dramas with moral lessons, second chances and if you'd like a show that can make you cry and laugh, you might just enjoy 18 Again.

Review: Strongest Deliveryman (2017)

He had a lot of personal and professional challenges. On top of sustaining his business and helping small restaurants, he needed to compete  against a conglomerate that aims to shut them down. While I appreciate how it conveyed the importance of grit and determination when pursuing one's goals, I also liked the way it showed the reality that there are people who just feel hopeless in a place that's supposed to be their home. Some people prefer moving to a foreign land because they feel that their country and their government have failed them.   The issues addressed in the show may be serious but the delivery was actually entertaining. Review: Go Back Couple (2017)

That's the dilemma shown in Go Back Couple. As a married couple, the lead characters experience a lot of challenges day in and day out. When they reached their breaking point, they finally decide to live their lives separately. Bur right after filing for divorce and after throwing their wedding bands, they wake up the next day and find themselves living in the past. Fantasy series are usually complicated and would require so much focus and attention but GBC is not like that at all. The story was written smoothly so it was easy to watch.
